FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hot stamping. To improve stamping and welding properties, aluminium- or aluminium-alloy-coated steel strip is heated in preheated furnace to temperature and for time defined by ABCD region in dwg.7 at said sheet thickness exceeding 0.7 mm and smaller than or equal to 1.5 mm and defined by EFGH region in dwg.7 at said sheet thickness exceeding 1.5 mm and smaller than or equal to 3 mm. Note here that heating rate Vc in the range of 20°C to 700°C makes 4 to 12°C/s to produce heated billet. Transfer of heated billet to press tool and pressing out produced billet in press tool to obtain hot-stamped steel sheet are followed by cooling heat billet from furnace outlet temperature to 400°C at average cooling rate making at least 30°C/s. Said hot stamped sheet can be used in surface vehicles.

EFFECT: improved stamping and welding properties.
