FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: below given operations are performed: preliminary application of aluminium or aluminium alloy onto a steel strip; cutting of the above steel plate or the strip with preliminary coating for production of a steel workpiece with preliminary coating; heating of the workpiece in a pre-heated furnace to the temperature and during the period of time according to the diagram in compliance with thickness of workpiece at average heating speed V_c in temperature range of 20 to 700°C, which equals to 4 to 12°C/sec and at heating speed V_c' in temperature range of 500 to 700°C, which equals to 1.5 to 6°C/sec; then, movement of the above heated workpiece to a stamping press; hot forming of the heated workpiece in the stamping press to produce a hot-formed steel plate product; cooling of the heated workpiece from the furnace outlet temperature to the temperature of 400°C at average cooling rate of at least 30°C/sec.

EFFECT: improving corrosion stability of a plate steel product and providing improved weldability.
