SUBSTANCE: in order to control the state and operation of a dispensing apparatus which has one or more modules and submodules, at least one of the modules or submodules is fitted with an electronic label, and the device is fitted with a label controller designed for interacting with the said label by reading, writing and transmitting information to the label, or by using the said label and facilitating operation of the said dispensing apparatus in accordance with information received from the said label(s).
