FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: device can be made with a parallelism level which is lower than the complete code structure parallelism used for controlling the coding process. Each instruction regarding the simple micro-code used for describing the code structure can be stored and executed several times in order to encode a code word. Different values of the length of the code word can be supported using one set of micro-code instructions but the code is realised a different number of times depending on the spreading factor selected for use. The LDPC coder can switch between coding code words of different length without the need to alter stored code description information by simply changing the spread factor of the code used in order to control coding processes. When coding code words which are shorter than the maximum supported code word length, certain unit storage cells or registers can remain unused.
EFFECT: more accurate information transfer.
