FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: facility consists of at least two jet fields opposite to one another relative to continuous metal band travelling lengthwise. Jet fields include jets directed to corresponding surface of band and connected to blast boxes for cooling gas. Running channels for withdrawing flows of cooling gas deflected with band surface are arranged between jets. High gradient of cooling eliminating danger of warping is facilitated due to combining groups of jets into jet blocks in parallel rows with a side gap between them. The blocks consist of gas channels (6) connected to blast boxes (3); also the gas channels are directed to surface of the corresponding band. Further, the blocks consist of tuyere nozzles (7) distributed along length of jet blocks (4). Also running channels (5) are designed to withdraw flows of cooling gas between jet blocks (4) distributed across blast boxes (3).
EFFECT: raised uniformity of metal band cooling.
