FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for obtaining granulated carbamide. Granulated carbamide is obtained by dispersion of its melt or solution in zone of granulation, where it hardens with formation of granules, and granules precipitate. Melt or solution is preliminarily cooled in recuperator with heat exchange with heat-carrier until partial formation of crystals in melt or solution. Heat-carrier, preferably water, is directed from recuperator into boiler of absorption refrigeration unit for heating of operation liquid with further return of heat-carrier into recuperator. Cooling of melt or solution by heat-carrier can take place at temperature of heat-carrier boiling, with condensation of formed vapour in boiler of absorption refrigeration unit. In absorption refrigeration unit cooled is water, which is directed for cooling of operation media of carbamide production, mainly for cooling of granules in granulation zone or outside it and/or cooling of air supplied into zone of granule cooling, with its further return into refrigeration unit.

EFFECT: method and installation ensure efficient utilisation of carbamide crystallisation heat, released in process of granulated carbamide production.
