FIELD: textile, paper.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to fire-resistant item, method and device for manufacturing of fire-resistant items made of mineral wool, for instance mineral wool boards. Method, when mineral raw materials are melted and shaped as fibres of mineral wool. Fibres are laid simultaneously into two or more separate primary mineral wool linens, each on a separate linen-laying drum. Afterwards these separate primary mineral wool linens on the following stage are joined into intermediate mineral wool linen, which is converted into finished mineral wool linen by means of folding. Then this linen is exposed to finishing treatment by available method, thus making fire-resistant item from mineral wool. Besides prior to connection of separate primary mineral wool linens into intermediate mineral wool linen, on surface and/or inside of at least one of primary mineral wool linens, a fire-resistant substance is added. Specified substance is added to space between intermediate mineral wool linens at least along one longitudinal section, having width, which at least partially covers width of primary mineral wool linen at the side of at least one of edges in mentioned primary mineral wool linen.
EFFECT: improved quality of finished product.
