FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for measuring flow rate of liquids in a channel where liquid enters a mock fuel assembly of a nuclear reactor core when pressure falls between two points along the stream of the liquid. The sensor has a perforated falling-drop shaped container mounted on cross bars 2 inside the channel (in the tail 3), where a measuring probe 5 consisting of two pipes - outer pipe 6 and inner pipe 7 in an pipe-in-pipe arrangement with holes 10 and 11 is placed inside the said perforated container. The pipe 6 of the measuring probe rests on a saddle 9 of a perforated cup 8 which is coaxial with the perforated container.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of measuring flow rate through the core of a VVER-1000 nuclear reactor.
