FIELD: biotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: agent contains the following components, wt %: dry concentrate of cotton budworm nuclear polyhedral disease virus strain NII KKM GNC VB "Vector" VB-06 (with titre of at least 2×1010 polyhedron/g) - 0.3-0.5, sodium alginate - 0.4-0.6, bovine albumen - 0.1-0.2, ascorbic acid - 0.07-0.09, calcium chloride - 0.3-0.5, water - the rest. To prepare the agent (in the form of aqueous suspension), dry concentrate of HS-17 strain is dissolved in water till required concentration with addition of stabilising components and sticky substance. Titre of liquid agent form makes at least 5×109 polyhedron/ml. Agent consumption in ground-focal treatment makes 40 ml/ha.

EFFECT: agent is harmless for insects and vertebrates, has improved stability in storage and efficiently and specifically affects larvae of cotton budworm.
