SUBSTANCE: invention relates to train ACS. Proposed method consists in activation of free running axle (F) as restricted run axle (N) and activation of restricted run axle (N) as free running axle (F) to determine train position (Z) in case one brake 4 of restricted run axle (N) fails. Proposed system comprises multiple axles that can be activated as restricted rum axles (N) or free running axles (F), brake control appliance 1 to control brakes 4A, 4B arranged on axles 6 via control lines 8A, 8B.
EFFECT: reliable development of braking force and minimised trains failures.
