FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building and thermal treatment in manufacturing of hand erecting tool from double-phase titanium alloys with hardness of 40…50 HRC. Stock of double-phase titanium alloys, structure of which in annealed condition, consists of phase α with hexagonal tightly packed crystalline lattice and phase β with body-centered cubic lattice, is exposed to hot treatment by pressure at the temperature that is 20…100°C higher than temperature of tempering to produce forged piece, then forged piece is subcooled down to temperature of tempering, and from this temperature it is cooled in water, mechanical treatment is carried out in tempered condition, ageing is carried out to provide for hardness of 40-50 HRC, and finishing abrasive treatment is performed.
EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness and energy intensity of making hand erecting tool.
