FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building and thermal treatment in manufacturing of hand tool. Using the tool will make it possible to reduce weight, compared to steel tool at equal strength, to manufacture special tool - non-magnetic, cold-resistant; to increase reliability of hand tool. In order to achieve technical result, hand tool is produced of double-phase titanium alloys, structure of which in annealed condition consists of phase α with hexagonal tightly packed crystalline lattice and phase β with body-centered cubic lattice, and on completion of tempering and ageing hardness of 40-55 HRC is provided, as well as ultimate tensile strength of 1100-1800 MPa and impact strength KCU 200-400 J/cm2, at the same time tool is heated up to 700-1000°C, cooled in water, exposed to ageing at 400-650°C.
EFFECT: makes it possible to use titanium alloys to manufacture hand tools.
