FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to thermal treatment of titanium alloys. Proposed method comprises quenching heating at 850 to 880°C, curing and quenching cooling and ageing at 480 to 500°C for 12 to 14 hrs. Quenching cooling is performed in medium consisting of pulsating water-air flow that features velocity of 25-30 m/s, pulsation frequency of 839-1000 Hz, pulsated air pressure of 8-12 kPa and variable sound pressure of 80-90dB.
EFFECT: reduced deformation in thermal treatment, higher hardness and wear resistance.
