FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: hand tools are implemented from chromium corrosion-resistant steel of martensite class with faceted or polished surface, subject to tempering and drawback and it is received solidity 45-60 HRC, impact elasticity KCU 19-30 J/cm2 and structure with grain size no less than 9 points and amount of retained austenite no more than 20%. Thermal treatment method of hand tools made of chromium corrosion-resistant steel of martensite class with faceted or polished surface includes tool heating up to 1000-1080°C, cooling into oil or on air, facing or polishing of surface, tempering at 200-500°C, at that tool allows solidity 45-60 HRC, impact elasticity KCU 19-30 J/cm2 and structure with grain size no less than 9 points and amount of retained austenite no more than 20%. For receiving of tools surface of metallic color facing or polishing of surface is implemented after tempering. For formation of oxide film, providing defined colour of surface, tempering is implemented after facing or polishing of surface.
EFFECT: simplification of traditional fabrication method of tools and durability increasing of tools.
