SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, particularly to composition of iron. Iron contains elements at the following ratio, wt %: carbon 3.0-3.6; silicon 0.6-1.0; manganese 0.4-0.6; phosphorus 0.6-0.8; calcium 0.05-0.1; barium 0.01-0.05; cobalt 0.8-1.2; praseodymium 0.3-0.4; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of iron.
