FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly to production of aluminium in electrolytic cells with self-calcinating anode and upper current conductor; it is object of invention to increase efficiency of collecting anode gases escaping in process of electrolysis. The gas collecting facility of aluminium electrolytic cell with a self-calcinating anode is made with straight and angular hinged sections along perimetre of an anode jacket and burner devices for after-burning combustible components of anode gas installed on the angular sections of the gas collecting bell. It contains the secondary gas collector made in form of a hood mounted on a lengthwise side of the anode jacket over the gas-collecting bell. Also length of the hood is 0.2÷0.8 of length of the lengthwise side of the anode jacket. A required level of vacuumising in the burner device and in the secondary gas-collector is ensured with control facilities in gas-withdrawing branches directing evacuated gas flows into the collector.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of anode gas collecting at performing process operations for crust destruction.
