FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly to electrolytic production of aluminium and can be implemented for gathering and after-burning anode gas an also for evacuation of anode gas after-burning products. The procedure consists in gathering anode gas from lengthwise sides of an electrolytic cell under a gas gathering cover containing separate sections made out of heat resistant concrete or iron and overlapping board-anode space along total perimeter of an anode jacket. Anode gases are directed for after-burning into burners enclosed into shells installed into openings in centre of at least four sections of the gas gathering cover and connected with a gathering collector. Anode gas after-burning products accumulated in the collector are withdrawn into a tubular gas-suction circuit. When the electrolytic cell is depressurised for process treatment of a bath, anode gases after-burning products are evacuated by means of hoods coupled with the gathering collector and installed above the opening-less sections of the gas-gathering cover.
EFFECT: stabilised process of anode gas after-burning and increased efficiency of thermal neutralisation of benz(a)pyrene at 1,2-4,5 %.
