FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: facility consists of burner mounted on boss of gas-collecting bell and of system of gas ducts. Circular apertures each equipped with a shutter are arranged in a lower part of the burner. Each shutter is secured at angle 5-10 degrees to vertical axis of the burner on the boss of the lower part of the burner. The upper part of the burner is made as a bend and is connected with the system of gas ducts. Walls of the middle part of the burner are made out of refractory material deforming to vertical axis of the burner under effect of vacuum. Depending on distance from an electrolytic cell to a source of vacuum, diametre of the middle part of the burner changes within ranges: Dmid=(1÷0.7)D0, where Dmid is diametre of the middle part of the burner, m, D0 -is diametre of the middle part of the burner at absence of vacuum, m.

EFFECT: reduced weight of burner and increased efficiency of thermal neutralisation of harmful components of anode gases.
