FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention comprises method and equipment to control the stability of torch, preferably, with low level of NOx, of natural draft heater. Method represents draft measurement during specified period of time and generating of measured output signal, from which draft function is defined. This function determines the correlation of draft and time of specified period. Torch stability value is specified, it displays steady operation of the torch. Draft function is compared with torch stability value to specify differences of a value, and furnace heater operation is governed as a response on differential value. Equipment comprises device for draft measurement during specified period of time and device for generating of measured output signal, from which draft function is defined. This function is proportional to cyclic draft variation during specified period of time.
EFFECT: invention enables torch stability control reliability improvement.
