FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: two-degree-of-freedom balanced gyro, consecutively connected radiation source with optical axis aligned with gyro rotor rotational axis, device of isolating target angular coordinates, first and second zero-order predictors, first and second electromagnetic motors coupled with gyro to correct gyro rotor proper rotation axis. Device comprises also gyro transducer of missile bank angle, modulation signal generator, eight multiplier units, two adders and two subtractors. Method of controlling device operation consists in introducing intermediate demodulation and modulation of homing head control signals and missile rolling frequency drive to allow control signal extrapolation to be performed in DC circuit, i.e. mismatch vector is pre-decomposed into coordinate components to be memorised till arrival of the next illumination pulse, and generating control signals for electromagnetic motors of correction in rotary system of coordinates.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of guidance.
