FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method is realised using a bridge circuit whose adjacent arms are formed by two groups of capacitance level sensors. A fixed frequency signal is generated in order to power the bridge circuit. A disbalance signal is generated at the output of the bridge circuit. The disbalance signal is summed up with the fixed frequency signal with preselected weight coefficients and then further summed up with the fixed frequency signal with second preselected weight coefficients different from the first. The first and second summed up signals are detected and filtered. The current polarity value of each signal formed during detection is determined depending on phase coincidence of the corresponding summed up signal and the fixed frequency signal. The first and second filtered signals are recorded and used to measure the level of the dielectric substance.

EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy, simplification and broader functional capabilities owing to formation of an authenticity feature of the output signal.
