FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: radionuclide is deposited on a substrate with a thin titanium hydroxide layer from a solution of a liquid radioactive preparation. The solution is prepared directly before immersing the substrate: up to 1.2-1.5 mol/l nitric acid is added, boiled for 5-10 minutes and neutralised with an alkali to pH=6-8. The substrate is immersed and kept at solution temperature of 70-80°C while stirring intensely.
EFFECT: increased output of radio active preparation on the substrate with simultaneous intensification of the process of making the alpha-radioactive source.
