FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to identification of materials and can be used for marking electrically conducting parts, for example rolled stock, automotive assembly units and parts, machine building products etc. Proposed method comprises splitting identification mark into two parts, applying non-reproducible image made up of electric-discharge spots on the first part containing identification number, splitting said second part into several sections depending upon the number of process jobs the part is subjected to. When the machined part passed next machining job, second part of identification mark is filled, that is, extra identification number is stamped and non-reproducible image made up of electric-discharge spots is applied thereon. Note here that the remaining area of identification part is covered by dielectric mask-patch for temporary protection.
EFFECT: producing non-reproducible identification mark describing entire technological process, higher quality and reliability of machining.
