FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of identification of material resources and can be used for marking conductive parts, for example, rolled products, vehicle parts, engineering products, aircraft construction products, defense products, etc. Method for creating an identification mark on a metallic carrier includes implementation of electric spark discharges between a high voltage electrode and a carrier with a digital code, while a metal film applied to a dielectric transparent substrate is used as a carrier, on which in the process of creating the mark, dielectric stencils of different shapes and transverse dimensions are installed, with the stencil of the least transverse dimension is set first, and then – each next stencil with increasing dimension.
EFFECT: invention provides a multiple increase in the identification saturation of the identification mark created on the metal carrier.
