SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering. Proposed method consists in determining fuel consumption for each engine of the aircraft. Fuel consumption of every engine is compared with that of the other engines. Maximum fuel consumption engine is defined. Factor of increased fuel consumption relative to other engines is defined for said engine. Check is performed to verify if increased consumption results from leaks. Check positive results initiates alarm signal. Proposed system comprises aircraft computer that uses above described method. Aircraft incorporates above described system.
