FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: reactive armor element intended for protection against kinetic projectiles comprises unit consisting of outer cover plate and at least one multilayer element arranged there below. Said multilayer element comprises at least one pair of, in fact, flat plates and power material arranged there between. Said non-explosive power material, not related to class 1, contains oxidiser and combustible material that, combined with appropriate catalyst and silicon binder, for target non-explosive power material that makes gas generator. Invention covers also multilayer element, non-explosive power material, that can be used for fabrication of such elements of reactive armor for body protection against bullets and fragmentation.
