SUBSTANCE: destabilization of shell penetrating power is ensured at its penetration in one of the movable armour elements 4 positioned on connecting elements 3 in recesses 2 made in fixed armour plate 1, and motion of movable element 4 of asymmetric shape with an offset center of inertia jointly with the shell due to asymmetrically applied force. An additional destabilizing moment arises at outflow of decomposition products-free-burning self-igniting compound 6 through ducts and holes 7 that are tangential to normal. To enhance the effectiveness of destabilization of shell penetrating power, multilayer movable armour elements can be used. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness. 2 cl, 3 dwg
