FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: coordinates are measured and angles of stabilisation oscillations of spacecraft (SC) are determined. In an analysis time interval T which includes the analysed part of the earth's gravitational field (EGF), the spacecraft enters an auto-oscillation mode with auto-oscillation amplitude φ0=45°, phase v0=0 and frequency ωp. The value of the anomaly of the earth's gravitational field Δij is determined by comparing the differences in stabilisation oscillations of the amplitude of the spacecraft. In the device for realising the method, parametres of the spacecraft design and settings of the spacecraft control system are determined from the condition: where Jx, Jy Jz are moments of inertia about corresponding axes SC; K1, K2 are coefficients in the law of generating the control moment of the alignment and stabilisation system in pitch channel
EFFECT: easier and cheaper measurement of anomalies of the earth's gravitational field.
