FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: simulator has a system of onboard equipment, a simulator configurator and an instructor unit, data base unit, vehicle system simulation unit, vehicle behaviour simulation unit, training task controller and vision aids, all interconnected through a router. The simulator also has a manual control unit, an environment dynamic simulation unit, a tactical situation simulation unit and a module for adjusting visual models. The vision aids are made in form of a set of visual model units depending on the number of students, each consisting of a certain set of models for visual presentation of a fixed field of view and modules for producing visual presentation of the fixed field of view.
EFFECT: possibility of creating a visual environment for each student, equivalent to the real environment and created taking into account a specific task and position of the student on the simulator which is an imitation of the student's real position on a ship.
