FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to physiology. On the monitor screen a tested person is shown the circumference on which a mark and a point object are placed. At the moment of supposed coincidence of position of the moving point object with the mark, a tested person fixes position of the point object relative to the mark. Movement of the point object on the circumference continues without stopping. Error of non-coincidence of positions of the point object and the mark is calculated - time of delay or anticipation error. Described procedure is carried out repeatedly. After that mean value of delay errors is determined as sum of deviations with positive sign divided on their number and anticipation errors as sum of deviations with negative sign divided on their number. Obtained values are compared and ratio of excitation and inhibition processes in central nervous system is determined. The point object moving on the circumference disappears from the monitor screen at the set time before reaching the mark and at the set time after passing the mark the point object appears on the video monitor screen.

EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for determination of ratio of excitation and inhibition processes in central nervous system.
