METHOD FOR EVALUATING HUMAN NERVOUS PROCESSES MOBILITY Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2417750 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and medical equipment and aims at evaluating the human nervous processes mobility. A person being tested is presented on a video monitor with a circle whereon a mark and a point object are positioned. The point object moves at the preset speed in a circle doing one revolution per 3 sec. At the moment of estimated positional conjunction of the moving point object with the mark, the "Stop" button shall be pressed to stop the moving point object in a circle for the preset time equal to 1 sec. A mismatch error of the point object and mark that is delay error time with positive sign and advance error time with negative sign is calculated. The mismatch error of the point object and mark is marked in coordinates "mismatch error value - number of a point object and mark match trial"; then the point object motion in a circle is renewed. The described procedure is repeated; a function graph Ri=f(t) is plotted, where Ri is the point object and mark mismatch error in the i-th match trial with a corresponding sign, until a stable mode is enabled when a transient adaptation process is complete. A number of match trial n corresponding to the transient process completion is determined. The mobility is evaluated by the number of match trial corresponding to the transient process completion; if n <3, the mobility is considered to be high, n=3 shows the moderate mobility, while in case of n> 3, the mobility is low.

EFFECT: method allows enhancing and providing qualitative evaluation of the nervous processes mobility in the person being tested.
