FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for determination time of human response to a moving object. Probationer is shown a closed circuit on the screen of a monitor, which is circumscriptive, which has got a label inside - the contour of arbitrary size and configuration with a point object. Point object moves within the bounding contour, reflecting from its inner boundary on the principle of "angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection." Probationer, watching the movement of a point object at the time of the supposed crossing of the contour of the label by moving point object stops the movement of a point object on the trajectory by pressing "Stop" button. Then the error of incongruity of the point object and the contour labels is calculated - the time delay error with a positive sign, or a pre-empt with the negative sign, and in a specified time the motion of a point object on the trajectory is renewed. Probationer performs the described procedure the given number of times, and then the time of a human response to a moving object is calculated according to the formula: where ti is the time of the i-th delay error with a positive sign or of pre-empt with a negative sign, mc; n - number of trials.
EFFECT: method enables to increase reliability of determining time of a human response to a moving object due to changing the trajectory of movement of a point object.
