FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is characterised by a composition containing lactic acid and lactoferrin, or its peptide fragment, for treatment and/or prevention of the urogenital involvements, and by application of said composition for preparing a drug for treatment and/or prevention of the urogenital involvements, and also a method of treatment thereof. The method for prevention and/or treatment of the urogenital involvements caused by a bacterial or fungal infection, involves administration to the patient of a pharmaceutically effective amount of the composition containing lactic acid, or its salt, and lactoferrin, or its peptide fragment where said peptide fragment is based on an antimicrobial site of a lactoferrin molecule from an N-end.
EFFECT: invention provides the antimicrobial effect of application in the method for prevention and/or treatment with using said composition.
