FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to an ophthalmic product containing rebamipide characterised by sufficient transparency for tolerant sensations when applied, and a neutral to slightly acidic pH. An aqueous ophthalmic suspension of crystal rebamipide which has the improved transparency is prepared by adding aqueous rebamipide dissolved in a base, such as sodium hydroxide, or aqueous rebamipide salt in aqueous acid solution, such as hydrochloric acid, containing at least one of the compounds chosen from water-soluble polymers or surface-active substances, and by mixing said solutions.
EFFECT: invention allows not to damage keratoconjunctiva of the patient suffering from eye dryness.
