FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst substrate continuing porous aluminium oxide. This substrate features high specific surface and high volume of pores. Said substrate features specific surface area of 100 to 500 m2/g and total volume of pores after annealing at 900°C for 2 h, equal to or larger than 1.2 cm3/g. Note here that 15% or less of total volume of pores are pores with diameter less than 10 nm. Invention relates also to catalyst with such substrate and noble metal as well as to production of such substrate.

EFFECT: decreased contamination of noble metal owing to increased resistance to sulphur.
