FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to timber industry. Method includes identification of rot propagation length, sawing-off combined plank timber, including affected part and plank timber of standard length, identification of cutting program, cutting of combined plank timber. Sawing of combined plank timber is carried out with production of combined two-edged cant, including rot, and side timber without rot. Combined two-edged cant is used to make square-edged combined timber and side square-sawn timber, square-edged timber is separated into high-quality square-edged timber of standard length and low-quality square-edged timber, and timber having wane in top part is separated into high-quality timber of standard length and slab part, or combined two-edged timber is cut into square-sawn timber parallel to side edges. Produced combined core of alternating rectangular section is separated into low-quality and high-quality parts, in low-quality parts rot and bark are removed parallel to their generatrices. Produced stocks of alternating section after drying and sorting are turned relative to each other by 180° in horizontal plane, and are fixed to each other. High-quality parts of combined cores in several round timber pieces also after drying and sorting are turned relative to each other by 180° in horizontal plane, and are fixed to each other.

EFFECT: invention increases yield of high-quality sawn timber.
