METHOD FOR PATTERN CUTTING OF ROUND TIMBERS AFFECTED BY PITH ROT Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B27B1/00 

FIELD: forest industry, in particular, production of sawn timber.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in fixing of the timber by the sound peripheral zone, determination of the program of pattern cutting, longitudinal cutting into sectors, removal of rot, longitudinal pattern cutting of the obtained parts, cutting-off, classifying and drying of the obtained lumbers and the side parts, their turning relative to one another and fastening to one another. The rot is removed from the sectors in parallel with its generating line forming the parts that are based on the obtained surface, longitudinal patter cutting of them is performed with production of semicut lumbers of rift sawing and side parts, tapered bark is removed from the obtained sawn timbers, they are turned relative to each other by 180 deg. in the vertical and horizontal planes and fastened to each other with production of a board sawn timber. The bark and the pith are removed from the side parts in parallel with the generating line obtaining variable section blanks in the form of a trapezoidal of a permanent height that are turned relative to each other by 180 deg in the vertical plane and fastened with obtaining of a sawn timber in the form of a squared timber.

EFFECT: reduced wood waste and enhanced quality of the obtained sawn timber.
