FIELD: wood working industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting of logs with core rot with output on one end. Longitudinal cutting of logs are conducted parallel to axis for two segments. Longitudinal cutting segments is conducted are parallel to generatrix of timber without rot core and combined central parts of variable cross section, containing core rot. Produced combined central parts are separated into high-quality and low-quality sections. Then in low-quality sections bark is removed and rot at rise to produce semi-products with alternating rectangular cross section, which after drying and further processing are turned relative to each other by 180° and connected into baffle boards or beam. In high-quality sections bark is removed parallel to longitudinal axis to produce lumber with alternating rectangular cross section, which after drying and further processing is turned relative to each other by 180° and connected in face into baffle boards or beams.

EFFECT: higher volume yield of sawn goods.
