FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to make thermal cells which are suitable for incorporation into disposable heating covers. The exothermic composition in form of particles contains: iron powder, carbon in form of activated carbon, non-activated carbon and their mixture, absorbent gel-forming material with average particle size between approximately 300 mcm and approximately 800 mcm and water. Particles of the exothermic composition are combined in a pocket which is in form of a single structure with two oppositely lying surfaces. At least one surface is permeable to oxygen.
EFFECT: absorbent gel-forming material enables utilisation of heat when offering assistance during temporary or chronic bodily pain or diseases.
