SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical devices. Steam heater satisfies following: (A) water content in steam heating facility is equal to or greater than 40 weight parts and is equal to or less than 80 weight parts per 100 parts by weight of oxidised metal; (B) content of water-retaining agent in exothermic composition is equal to or higher than 0.3 parts by weight and equal to or less than 20 weight parts per 100 parts by weight of said oxidised metal; (C) water content, enclosed in exothermic layer (121A) is equal to or higher than 8 weight parts and is equal to or less than 45 weight parts per 100 parts by weight of said oxidised metal; and (D) water content, enclosed in water-retaining sheet (121S) ranges from 15 to 30 % by weight of maximum water absorption by said water retaining sheet.
EFFECT: invention provides more efficient transfer of heat to human body.
