FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, particularly to physiotherapy. The method includes electric stimulation of an animal organism. Herewith, the opioid systems are activated by transcranial electric stimulation. At first, an organism is exposed to direct current supplied on the electrodes within the frontal (cathode) and occipital (anode) bones to be smoothly increasing within two minutes from 0 to 6.0-7.0 mA, and then in the same polarity, rectangular pulses of frequency 70-90 Hz and duration 3-4 ms with their amplitude slowly increasing within two minutes to 3.0-3.5 mA are supplied to the electrodes. Electric stimulation is continued for 30-35 minutes every second day. The course of treatment takes 3-5 sessions.
EFFECT: method allows improving the general condition of animals, increasing their activity, restoring appetite.
