FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, particularly methods for prevention of transport stress in animals. The method provides direct current supply onto the electrodes fixed on a front or a back of the head; the supplied current is smoothly increasing for 2 min from 0 to 6.5 mA; thereafter, rectangular pulses of frequency 75-80 Hz and length 3.0-4.0 ms are supplied onto the electrodes of the same polarity with their amplitude to be increased for 2 min to 7.0-10.0 mA. Transcranial electrical stimulation is performed 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening for two days running; a length of each session makes 25-30 min.
EFFECT: method provides more evident action on the antinociceptive system of the animal's brain which is accompanied by blood emission of the great amount of endogenic opioid peptide beta-endorphine possessing antistress action.
