FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for hydraulic sizing of materials, namely for separation of sandy gravel. Method of sizing sandy gravel that comprises extraction of graded sand and gravel consists in using sandy gravel feed appliance, hydraulic screen, hydraulic cyclone, cylinder-conic hydraulic sizing machine to separate sand into two fractions. Sandy gravel feed appliance communicates with hydraulic cyclone with its sludge outlet provided with vortex chamber incorporating circulating water feed branch pipe and that to discharge gravel into hydraulic multi-sieve screen to separate gravel into three fractions. Cylinder-conic hydraulic sizing machine inlet communicates with hydraulic cyclone sand mix outlet via damper made up of cylinder-conic apparatus with detachable sieve arranged in its cylindrical part for additional rinsing of sandy hydraulic mix. Cylinder-conic hydraulic sizing machine outlet accommodates vortex chamber incorporating circulating water feed branch pipe and that to large grain size discharge gravel.
