FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to wear resistant materials for pad welding and can be implemented for fabrication of new parts and also for retailoring and for increased service life of worn parts operating under conditions of abrasive, impact-abrasive wear and high contact resistance. Material on base of quick cutting steel contains 15-25 wt % of tungsten carbide and 0.5-1 wt % of vanadium carbide.
EFFECT: material possesses high wear resistance, contact resistance, low plastic deformations and facilitates uniform structure along thickness of strengthened layer without net of cracks.
