FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: there is determined tangent of angle of dielectric losses for emulsion; frequency corresponding to maximum value of tangent of angle of dielectric losses is determined; electromagnetic field frequencies at which the tangent of angle of dielectric losses for emulsion will be 0.7 of maximum value of tangent of angle of dielectric losses for emulsion; then this emulsion is influenced with electromagnetic field of the specified frequency. After certain quantity of water is separated, other influencing frequency is chosen.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of dehydration method of oil emulsions, which takes into account the change of electrical and physical parametres of emulsions during their dehydration.
