ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC H01H51/00

Abstract RU 2400857 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed relay comprises plastic base, cover, magnetic system consisting of cores, frame, windings wound on spools and arranged on cores representing rods with poles and tail part connected with the frame. Bronze plate is secured on armature to allow, at least < 0.15 mm-gap between armature and both poles of cores, and making contact system consisting of rear, front and throw contacts. Graphite makes contact material for front contacts. Relay incorporates frame from nonmagnetic material with at least two base surfaces, i.e. one to be secured to relay base and another to secure thereon at least two cores and at least one support to accommodate and secure L-rocker made from nonmagnetic material and rigid stop for rear contacts. Magnetic circuit core tail parts are jointed together by yoke representing a jumper made from magnetically soft material and secured on the frame. Poles are separated by nonmagnetic gap formed by their adjoining sides in the form of wedge with angle varying from 20 to 60 degrees and distance between apices making 1.0-1.2 mm, and are closed by armature with symmetric shape with respect to nonmagnetic gap. Armature is secured on the end of L-like rocker to adjust travel relative to rocker arm.

EFFECT: reduced power-to-weight ratio and sizes.
