SUBSTANCE: proposed hoist comprises case made up of three plate sides, worm-and-worm pair, wheel with lifting chain on work wheel axle, wheel with hauling chain on worm free end, disk automatic cargo retaining brake on worm axle on worm wheel side. Hoist incorporates additional independent disk cargo retaining brake fitted on free and of worm on hauling wheel side. Said brake comprises ratchet disk with spring-loaded pawl on axle, arranged between two friction disks. Brakes operates due to relative axial displacement of two threaded couplings, one fitted on hailing chain wheel and another fixed on worm axle.

EFFECT: higher safety due to second brake.
