FIELD: technological processes; environment protection.

SUBSTANCE: method of rivers purification from contaminants with density below water density includes accumulation of contaminants in water basin, their separation from river waters, separation of separated mass according to density, recycling of contaminants and discharge of separated water. Accumulation of contaminants in water basin is carried out by means of pontoon installation in river curve at the angle of 20÷35° to the bank, in which waterproof partition is fixed that provides water overflow in the depth and stopping of top layer of water on the river surface. Separation of contaminants from river waters is carried out with the help of separator that is installed between pontoon and the bank and fixed in the pontoon at the angle of 3÷7° from the river surface towards flow of water and inclined at the angle of 3° to the side of floating accumulating tank, which is rigidly connected to pontoon and separator that provides cut of water top layer and its overflow to accumulating tank, from where liquid is pumped to device for liquid separation according to density, which is installed on accumulating tank of contamination, from which after separation separated water is discharged along pipeline into accumulating basin of river at the distance from separator that makes it possible for contamination to float in surface layer, and contaminants are sent to contamination accumulating tank, which is hydraulically connected to pipeline for settled water relief from it.

EFFECT: limitation of contaminated water volume and return of purified water in enclosed basin of river.
