FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises sensory unit (1) which produces measuring signals for recording environment process parametre (e.g. limit level), electronic unit with microprocessor (2) for sensory unit (1) control, and memory unit (4) which is connected with sensory unit (1) and where specific control data relating to sensory unit (1) are stored. This control data are read by electronic unit (2). The microprocessor (3) in nonactivated state performs only basic functions irrelevant to sensory unit control and changes state from nonactivated to activated at the time when control data are read from memory unit (4). Electronic unit (2) can control various sensory units using programs stored in it. Such sensory units must be enabled to measure different process parametres or use different principles of measurement. In such version, control data induces activation of control program for relevant sensory unit.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of modular instrument which makes possible to combine sensors of various types and features high reliability.
