FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: electronic field device is connected with sensor unit 2 through corresponding signal paths. Device generates voltage signal to control sensor unit 2 and receives and estimates measured current from sensor unit 2. According to invention, device has analog-to-digital converter 8 to transform measured analog current into digital form, microprocessor 1 and memory unit 7. Microprocessor generates voltage signal, estimates current to be measured, compensates perturbation actions and calculates values to be measured of detector/reservoir corresponding to specified programs, which programs are kept in memory unit 7. Capacitance can be measured independently on active conductivity of medium to be measured.
EFFECT: improved reliability of results of measurement.
